आरफ़ा ख़ानम शेरवानी एक भारतीय पत्रकार और लेखक हैं।[१][२] गैर-लाभकारी वेब प्रकाशन द वायर में शामिल होने से पहले उन्होंने एनडीटीवी और राज्यसभा टीवी के साथ एंकर के रूप में काम किया।[३][४][५]
प्रारंभिक जीवन और पृष्ठभूमि[सम्पादन]
आरफ़ा का जन्म 1980 में खुर्जा, बुलंदशहर जिले, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ था।[६] उन्होंने जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया, नई दिल्ली से पीएचडी पूरी की और 2010 में अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय ओल्ड बॉयज एसोसिएशन, दिल्ली अध्याय के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष चुने गए।[७][८]
करियर[सम्पादन]
आरफ़ा ने 2000 में पत्रकारिता में अपना करियर शुरू किया। उन्होंने 19 साल की उम्र में पायनियर (इंडिया) के साथ अपना करियर शुरू किया और धीरे-धीरे वह इलेक्ट्रॉनिक पत्रकारिता में चली गयी।[१] बाद में उन्होंने सहारा समे चैनल[९][१०] , एशियन ऐज में एक प्रशिक्षु उप-संपादक में काम किया और लाइव इंडिया न्यूज चैनल के साथ एक समाचार सलाहकार और एंकर भी थे।[६] उन्होंने "तालीमी कारवां " नामक एक वृत्तचित्र भी बनाया, जो उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य में बेहरिच जिले में ग्रामीण शिक्षा के मुद्दों और खराब साक्षरता दर पर आधारित था।
